Undenyable

Undenyable is denied

The tearoom was thronging with those ready to die when Undenyable entered. Observing their nervous chatter, he announced their fates, especially marking out those with the most complicated names. Raising his voice for all to hear, he declared that they would all fall to his might: that Undenyable would kill and win!

As the great arch-wizard Kyric proclaimed "Go!", Undenyable went out into the land, quickly procuring a dagger and wafer for himself. The choice of prey was so great that he took some time to decide whom his first victim should be, and so chased many for amusement including Fate, Killmeqwik and Suicide. As all before him fled his great blade, Gambit, Chaos and Romnamnon were not swift enough, each being slain. The snow seemed a comfortable bed and there Undenyable slept when injured, avoiding all attacks, as none could brave the chill. Winterdawn alone seemed equal to his might, as their meetings resulted once in Undenyable's withdrawal, and once in his flight.

At one point during the great contest a foolish eagle attacked him and was beaten to submission for its insolence.

When only four remained, Undenyable sought out Killmeqwik in his safe haven, but was forced to return to the snow by his enemy's unexpected wafer. On waking, he discovered Winterdawn had dispatched Fate and was warring with Killmeqwik in the pasturelands. His knowledge of those fields being but scanty, he was unable to reach them before Killmeqwik had seen his name true and Winterdawn had retreated to heal.

After hiding for many hours, Winterdawn finally acquiesced to Undenyable's request to face him on even ground. The battle was fought bravely on both sides, but Undenyable had to acknowledge the other's greater skill and gave his life in a final attempt to FOD him.

Thus Winterdawn won the contest.
