Pterydctyl faces down Vectis

As a novice to the game and in awe of the big name players I decided my tactics would be to run like hell hoping all the big players killed each other off, leaving me with a chance to nick a place.

I considered a very long hard to type name was important so Pterydctyl was born, slightly missspelt to add to confusion. I'll be safe with a name like that I thought (This was before I'd dsicovered what the SYN command was for). Another sound tactic was to carry big lumps of weight around, and give them to assailants hoping they would not notice their fighting skills had been impaired by carrying boats and other such cumbersome furniture.

The nervous anticipation at the start was almost unbearable, oooeeer were off! For some reason I thought the 'where' spell was used for finding players only so trusted to luck in finding a weapon and was rather pleased to quickly find a stick. Vectis arrived weilding a vicious billhook and I ran like hell as planned. I found a nice heavy barge and grabbed it to give to any opponent who caught me. Quick obit , YES I wasnt the first to die, Just keep running Pterydctyl. 10 minutes of 'aimless running about' later- another obit WOW 10 or more have bit the dust, these running tactics might work!

I noticed Vectis had 4 victims to his name and remembered he was weilding the billhook. suddenly feeling adventurous I thought ' If Vectis is killing people so easily with the billhook then I want that billhook! A 'where' revealed he was in the maze of hedges ah ha not far away. I cancelled my running tactics and decided to nick the billhook from Vectis by sneaking up on him in the maze. Cunning plan eh? I cautiously wandered through the maze anticpating the major surprise Vectis would get when I nicked his billhook. AAAARGHH !!!! Vectis is in my face and slicing it off with his wicked weapon. PANICK PANICK LOSING FAST, Time to F O AAARGH no out in maze!!!!! HES STILL SLICING ME UP!! Im dead...

I was easy meat for Vectis weilding my unlit brand and carrying a barge which I had forgotten to give to him.

Pterydctyl departed a bit disgruntled but maybe a little wiser.
