He has been spotted in The Land recently and denizens are advised to take heed of the warning "AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!". There appears to be a little truth in the rumour that the Cheshire Wizard has colluded with the aforementioned villain and denizens are therefore asked to reserve judgement on this matter.
She was recently kidnapped by a gang of Trolls, Gnomes, Goblins and Werewolves, led by a cruel Brigand. The Duke has reason to believe that they have hidden her away in the caves and caverns under the Sundial. There is plenty of room in these tunnels to evade and elude the soldiers of the Duke, while hiding a small child. However, a small force could sneak in while the Brigand's forces are off their guard and rescue the princess. The Duke is planning to set up a pavilion, stuffed with gold, near the railway track to tempt people to act nobly.
So if you see the Duke, make the most of this opportunity to do what is right and make money at the same time!
To cut a long story short (if you'll excuse the pun), what followed after was a battle so destructive that it physically changed the shape of The Land. A large piece of turf, many acres wide, was broken from the mainland and floated off into the sea where the elves were later to discover rich mineral resources such as gems and silver.
To this day the elf Island has not been located but it is rumoured to be a base at which the elves plan their revenge, to endeavour to bring about the demise of the dwarfs and to reclaim the realm as theirs once again.
Denizens of The Land are duly warned to take heed of the threat of an invasion aimed at the dwarfs, which will cause chaos and blood-shed in The Land. Be prepared to band together as neither side will let anyone get in their way, if a war should break out.
